This Privacy Policy explains how Side (the "App", bundle ID com.jumper.side) collects, uses, and shares information when you play. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
The App is published by Ahmet Fırat Gürbüz ("we", "us"). For any privacy-related question you can reach us at afiratgurbuz@gmail.com.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Nickname — you can set or change a public display name used on the leaderboard. Defaults to a random
Player#NNNNuntil you change it. - Purchases — when you buy an in-app item, Apple shares a purchase receipt with us through our payment provider (see §3).
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Anonymous user ID — our backend (Appwrite) creates an anonymous identifier the first time you launch the App. It is tied to this install, not to your Apple ID. We use it to keep your game progress and your leaderboard entry consistent across sessions.
- Game state — coin balance, best score, equipped skin, boosters, run history (score, timestamp, device platform) so the leaderboard and analytics work.
- Device & usage data — device model, iOS version, app version, crash traces, and gameplay events (runs started/ended, power-ups used, purchases made).
- Advertising identifier (IDFA) — only if you grant permission when iOS prompts. Used to serve relevant ads via Google AdMob.
We do not collect:
- Your real name, email, phone number, or home address.
- Your Apple ID, contacts, photos, location, or microphone.
- Any data that directly identifies you outside of the nickname you choose.
2. How We Use Information

We do not sell personal data.
3. Third Parties
The App uses the following providers. Each has its own privacy policy that governs its use of the data it receives:

Data shared with each provider is limited to what that provider needs to perform its function (see §1 and §2).
4. Data Retention
- Game progress & leaderboard entries — kept for as long as the anonymous identifier exists on the backend. If you reinstall the App, a new anonymous identifier is created; your previous identifier's data becomes orphaned and is purged according to our retention schedule.
- Purchase receipts — kept for as long as required by Apple and tax law in your jurisdiction (typically up to 7 years).
- Crash logs and analytics events — retained for up to 14 months at the provider and then deleted.
You can request deletion of your anonymous profile and leaderboard row at any time (see §7).
5. Your Choices
- Tracking prompt — when iOS asks whether the App may track activity, you can decline. We will not pass your IDFA to AdMob in that case.
- Settings → Nickname — change or clear your public display name at any time.
- Delete the App — this erases all local progress and the anonymous session token. Backend rows tied to the old session are not re-linked if you reinstall.
- Apple subscription/purchase management — Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.
6. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected information from your child, please email us (see §9) and we will delete it.
7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live you may have the following rights regarding data we hold tied to your anonymous identifier:
- Access — request a copy of the data.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate data (e.g. change nickname).
- Deletion — ask us to delete your profile and leaderboard rows.
- Object / restrict — ask us to stop processing your data for certain purposes.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Complaint — lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email afiratgurbuz@gmail.com with the anonymous identifier shown under Settings → About (or describe your nickname and approximate last-played date so we can locate your rows).
8. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version at the URL linked from inside the App and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be surfaced through an in-app notice.
